Responsibilities

View English and Inuktitut version

  • Sweep, mop and vacuum floors in offices, hallway, lobbies and common areas
  • Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, windowsills and shelves
  • Empty trash cans and replace bag
  • Clean and sanitize sinks and toilets
  • Replenish supplies such as soap, toilet paper and paper towels
  • Wipe down countertops, tables and appliances
  • Clean windows, blinds and light fixtures as requires
  • Shampoo carpets as scheduled
  • Maintain janitorial supplies and restock when needed
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines, including handling cleaning chemicals properly
  • Provide addition cleaning support for events and accommodation units
  • Training as required
  • Others duties as required
Qualifications
  • High school diploma
  • 1 year of experience
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending and lifting for extended periods
  • Attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Assets
  • Bilingual in Inuktitut and English
