Responsibilities

View English and Inuktitut version

  • Plan, direct and evaluate promotional initiatives, host seminars and workshops on tourism within Nunatsiavut
  • Build awareness across Nunatsiavut of rules and regulations for tourism packages
  • Work closely with community stakeholders to build market-ready experiences 
  • Assist in the identification and implementation of cultural and heritage-based tourism products through community visits and consultations
  • Work towards the implementation of the Nunatsiavut Tourism Strategy in partnership with community stakeholders
  • Assist stakeholders in project planning for new tourism initiatives
  • Engage industry partners in the development of tourism experiences and products in Nunatsiavut
  • Other related duties as required
Qualifications
  • Diploma in hospitality or business or Undergraduate degree in Tourism Management, Business Administration/Commerce. Equivalent training and experience in related field will be considered. 
  • 3-5 years’ experience in tourism
  • Effective time management, and ability to manage multiple projects/tasks concurrently.
  • Possess excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills.
Assets
  • Bilingual in English and Inuktitut.
