Responsibilities
View English and Inuktitut version
- Plan, direct and evaluate promotional initiatives, host seminars and workshops on tourism within Nunatsiavut
- Build awareness across Nunatsiavut of rules and regulations for tourism packages
- Work closely with community stakeholders to build market-ready experiences
- Assist in the identification and implementation of cultural and heritage-based tourism products through community visits and consultations
- Work towards the implementation of the Nunatsiavut Tourism Strategy in partnership with community stakeholders
- Assist stakeholders in project planning for new tourism initiatives
- Engage industry partners in the development of tourism experiences and products in Nunatsiavut
- Other related duties as required
Qualifications
- Diploma in hospitality or business or Undergraduate degree in Tourism Management, Business Administration/Commerce. Equivalent training and experience in related field will be considered.
- 3-5 years’ experience in tourism
- Effective time management, and ability to manage multiple projects/tasks concurrently.
- Possess excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills.
Assets
- Bilingual in English and Inuktitut.
