Responsibilities

  • Responsible all for aspects of supervision of staff including recruitment, orientation, staff development and competency training, work schedules, timesheets, etc.
  • Managing budgets for purchases for units, including groceries, household equipment/items, administrative items, etc.
  • Continuously explore best practice/creative solutions to housing and supportive services for individuals with multiple challenges.
  • Develop relationships with individual clients with the housing units to assist with case management meetings, assist with placement decisions and help Supportive Housing Workers address challenging behaviours and/or mediate conflicts.
  • Other related duties as required
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Social Work with 3-5 years of related experience. Combination of relevant education and/or experience will be considered
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supervision of employees including effective management of staffing schedules
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with people facing challenges including intergenerational trauma, addictions, mental health issues and homelessness.
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license
