Responsibilities

View English and Inuktitut version

  • Create a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment where families and children feel comfortable and supported.
  • Develop and facilitate programs that support healthy child and family development
  • Encourage and support families and children of offering encouragement, relevant information and resources
  • Collaborate with staff and community partners to deliver programs and social events
  • Participate in Professional Development and training opportunities as these become available.
  • Over-see the development and needs of the centre’s space, equipment and materials.
  • Training as required
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Certificate in Early Childhood Education.
  • 2 years experience working with children and families
  • Experience facilitating programs for children and families
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with parents/caregivers, children and community groups
Assets
  • Bilingual in Inuktitut and English.
