Responsibilities
View English and Inuktitut version
- Create a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment where families and children feel comfortable and supported.
- Develop and facilitate programs that support healthy child and family development
- Encourage and support families and children of offering encouragement, relevant information and resources
- Collaborate with staff and community partners to deliver programs and social events
- Participate in Professional Development and training opportunities as these become available.
- Over-see the development and needs of the centre’s space, equipment and materials.
- Training as required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Certificate in Early Childhood Education.
- 2 years experience working with children and families
- Experience facilitating programs for children and families
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with parents/caregivers, children and community groups
Assets
- Bilingual in Inuktitut and English.
