The Community Food Student will be responsible to assist in the preparation and serving of food and food related programs for the Nigivik Center.  This position will require flexibility in the workday, as programs may be held outside of the normal operating hours.

Duties Include:

• Assist with community-based food security programs that provide learning opportunities for program participants.
• Prepare food following safe food handling and sanitation guidelines.
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitation of all food storage and food service areas including stove and refrigerators.
• Assist with procurement of food and supplies needed for food security programs.
• Maintain monthly inventory of food and supplies.
• Other related duties as required

• Youth between the ages of 15 to 30 years of age
