Responsibilities

View English and Inuktitut version

  • Adhere to the Nunatsiavut Government Employee Civil Service Policy Manual along with NIHB specific policies
  • Transport Beneficiaries as required
  • Provide physical assistance to Beneficiaries in loading and offloading of medical transportation vehicle(s)
  • Assist in moving medical supplies and equipment as required
  • Keep daily log
  • Cleaning of vehicle fleet in accordance with infection, prevention and control principles
  • Report occurrences (e.g. vehicle accident, vehicle maintenance issues, etc.) to Lead/Dispatch immediately
  • Attendance at quarterly NIHB Ground Transport team meetings
  • Training and in servicing as required
  • To liaise with stakeholders while maintaining Beneficiary confidentiality
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Lead/Dispatch
Qualifications
  • Must have class-4 driver’s license and provide a clean driver abstract
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and shift work
Assets
  • Bilingual in the Inuktitut and English language
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
