Responsibilities

View English and Inuktitut version

  • Coordinate FASD prevention/educational activities and to support FASD affected children & families. This individual must be willing to travel to all Labrador Inuit communities to support a team approach to addressing this issue.  They will also link to a regional multi-disciplinary team for the purpose of assessment, diagnosis and follow-up.  Facilitating the establishment of a FASD support team specific to the resources available in each Labrador Inuit community.
  • Developing culturally appropriate promotional and educational resources specific to FASD
  • Facilitating training in each Labrador Inuit Community to develop FASD expertise at the community level
  • Coordinating referrals to multi-disciplinary diagnostic team and participate in prioritizing of these referrals
Qualifications

Minimum of 2-yr diploma in Community Studies or equivalent education and work experience

Assets
