Responsibilities

  • Assist the Regional Energy Manager in implementing and tracking the progress of the Nunatsiavut Energy Strategy, supporting the development of action items and monitoring program milestones.
  • Conduct research and data analysis on energy security trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to inform program strategies and policy recommendations.
  • Assist in the develop of reports, presentations, and other documentation to communicate program progress, findings, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the development and evaluation of policies and programs, working under the guidance of the Regional Energy Manager to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Prepare proposals and supporting materials for funding applications, assisting in the management of grant deliverables and reporting.
  • Maintain relationships with community partners and assist in building local capacity to support energy security initiatives.
  • Coordinate meetings and events as needed to support collaboration with government departments and community stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate program outcomes through data collection and analysis, providing insights to improve program effectiveness and impact.
  • Travel will be required
  • Other related duties as required by the Regional Energy Manager.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in renewable energy, sustainability, environmental science with 3-5 years of related experience with a focus on program support, research, or analysis. Combination of relevant education and/or experience will be considered
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with demonstrated experience in data collection, analysis, and report preparation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise reports and presentations.
  • Understanding of Labrador Inuit culture and of the five Inuit communities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various groups, including community stakeholders, government departments, and internal teams.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
