Responsibilities

View English and Inuktitut version

  • To inform the Nunatsiavut Beneficiaries and community members of available programs, services and benefits.
  • To deliver and coordinate group sessions and presentations on health promotion, prevention and education.
  • To coordinate and offer special events and celebrations.
  • To conduct home visits.
  • To provide individual and group programming for children, youth, adults and elders.
  • To demonstrate innovation and enthusiasm in developing and delivering promotion, prevention and education activities for various age groups.
  • To compile and submit monthly statistics and program activity reports to Team Leader.
  • To network and partner with other divisions within Nunatsiavut Government, agencies and organizations to ensure adequate services are provided to the membership.
  • To participate in staff development as required.
  • Work flexible hours, which may include evenings and weekends
  • Travel as required
  • Training and in servicing as required
  • Other related duties as required        
Qualifications
  • Minimum of Community Studies or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Self-directed with strong interpersonal, writing, communication and organizational skills
Assets
  • Bilingual in Inuktitut and English
  • CPR/First Aid 
  • Valid Driver’s License
