Responsibilities
View English and Inuktitut version
- To inform the Nunatsiavut Beneficiaries and community members of available programs, services and benefits.
- To deliver and coordinate group sessions and presentations on health promotion, prevention and education.
- To coordinate and offer special events and celebrations.
- To conduct home visits.
- To provide individual and group programming for children, youth, adults and elders.
- To demonstrate innovation and enthusiasm in developing and delivering promotion, prevention and education activities for various age groups.
- To compile and submit monthly statistics and program activity reports to Team Leader.
- To network and partner with other divisions within Nunatsiavut Government, agencies and organizations to ensure adequate services are provided to the membership.
- To participate in staff development as required.
- Work flexible hours, which may include evenings and weekends
- Travel as required
- Training and in servicing as required
- Other related duties as required
Qualifications
- Minimum of Community Studies or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Self-directed with strong interpersonal, writing, communication and organizational skills
Assets
- Bilingual in Inuktitut and English
- CPR/First Aid
- Valid Driver’s License
